Student Awards

When the university recognizes that students and student organizations at Yokohama National University have performed the following outstanding activities, the university will honor them on the basis of the "Yokohama National University Student Award Regulations" Furthermore, the President awards a certificate of commendation to them.

    (outstanding activities)

  1. (Students) achieve particularly outstanding academic results when they graduate or complete their studies
  2. (Students or student organizations) achieve particularly outstanding results in academic studies and gain high acclaim from academy or society
  3. (Students or student organizations) achieve particularly outstanding results in extracurricular activities and contribute to the promotion of extracurricular activities
  4. (Students or student organizations) achieve particularly outstanding results in social activities and gain high acclaim in society
  5. (Students or student organizations) achieve results equal to or greater than 3.

Academic Excellence Awards

The university gives students Academic Excellence Awards to enhance students’ motivation of efforts for academic research and social activity, etc.
Award recipients will receive a certificate of commendation from the Vice President. Furthermore, Academic Excellence Awards are listed in the special notes of the Transcript. Award recipients can write down their Award History in rewards and punishments of the CV form.
