Regarding Orientation, Course Registration and Application for Scholarships on April 2020

Dear New and Current YNU Students,
YNU has taken every measures to avoid the “Three Cs” (Closed Spaces, Crowded places, Close-contact settings) such as ventilating rooms, making wider space among seats and holding events separately in order to prepare for the upcoming new semester in April. However, following the increase of people infected with novel coronavirus in Tokyo metropolitan area since last week and several travel restrictions requested by local government, YNU has made conclusion that it will be difficult to hold such events which requires travel by students. Thus, we have decided to change the schedule of events which was announced via “Start Date of Spring 2020 Semester Postponed” on March 26th.
Despite this sudden change of measures, we appreciate very much for your understanding.
- All orientation for new undergraduate/graduate students will be cancelled.
Among materials which were to be distributed during the orientation, student cards and ICT manuals will be posted to the home address which is registered in Student Registration Card (if the home address is not filled in, it will be sent to the address where the letter of acceptance was sent). If you have any concern on this, we will send them to the address where the letter of acceptance was sent. Please notify it by sending email to the following address by notifying your name and entrance examination number. Please title the email “Address for sending Student ID”
If you do not receive materials by April 10th (Fri), please contact the office of your undergraduate/graduate school. - All orientation for current students will be cancelled.
- Course registration for both undergraduate and graduate students will begin after May 7th (Thu). Course registration manual and class timetable will be updated via YNU website in advance.
- Details of application for scholarships and exemption of tuitions will be notified from the following webpage.
