Online Classes conducted at YNU
April 22, 2020
Yokohama National University
As a measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, YNU have decided to start the 2020 spring semester online on May 7.
We will use the YNU Learning Management System to conduct online classes. To take the classes, please complete by the day before they begin the necessary procedures based on the following instructions.
- Using the YNU Learning Management System
Online classes will be conducted using the YNU Learning Management System, which provides a virtual classroom environment. To sign up for the classes you want to take, log into the system and apply for provisional registration for them.
The system enables teachers to teach how to take online classes, post course materials, provide assignments, and send notices using the YNU email service, as well as allowing you to register your attendance, submit reports and assignments, ask questions, and exchange communications.
At first, make sure that you can log in and access to the system. For newly enrolled students, please refer to “Quick Guide to the Information Technology Service Center for New Students”.

We email you at your YNU email (Office365 email) address. To receive our email, you need to set up YNU email account. Make sure to check your email every day.
Emails sent from YNU include information addressed to all our students, those on class matters from your instructors, and those from the student affair division.
Make sure that you can log in and access the YNU email service. (For newly enrolled students, please refer to “Quick Guide to the Information Technology Service Center for New Students”.)
