Request after Students Confirmed Infected with Novel Coronavirus
Dear YNU Students
YNU confirmed 6 students who were infected with novel coronavirus. While further detail is under investigation, it has been found out that many of them belong to same club and were apparently infected while dining outside the campus.
Today, Kanagawa Prefecture confirmed the largest number of people infected with novel coronavirus after the lift of state emergency.
Therefore, we would like to call your attention once again to the following:
Note that students are urged to behave with discretion by being conscious to their social responsibility not only to protect themselves, but also to protect the lives of family members, friends, and neighbors.
Please call the Health Service Center (045-335-1518) when you have been confirmed to be infected or have had close contact with person infected with the novel coronavirus.

Therefore, we would like to call your attention once again to the following:
- All individuals must thoroughly implement the three basic steps of infection prevention: “physical distance”, “wearing a mask”, and “washing hands”.
- All individuals must thoroughly implement infection prevention measures, including “avoiding the Three Cs,” “ventilation”, “shortening contact time”, and “dispersion”.
- Refrain from dining outside the campus in groups since many cases of community transmission has been found rapidly.
- All extra-curricular activities regardless of permission given or not are requested to exercise cautiously and review their plans.
