2020 Academic Year Student Regular Health Exam (Exam Date)

Yokohama National University
A Regular Health Exam will be given for college and graduate school freshman students (excluding research students, auditors, special audit students, credited auditors , and transfer students) on the following dates. Health exams help you stay healthy and detect disease early.
- Details: Filling in a medical questionnaire, measurement of height and weight, vision test, hearing test (by interview), measurement of blood pressure, chest X-ray test, medical check by doctors (stethoscopes will not be used)
- Place: Education and Culture Hall (campus map S1-2) * Note that this is a facility on YNU campus.
- Date: October 28 (Wed), 29 (Thu), 30 (Fri), November 2 (Mon), 4 (Wed), 5 (Thu), and 6 (Fri) of 2020

「Exam date assignment list」 - Precautions
- This exam is not mandatory if you live far away, feel anxious about taking a health exam on campus (due to an underlying condition, pregnancy, etc.), are an adult student who has an opportunity to take a health exam other than the campus health exam, etc.
- If you experienced fever or were in poor physical condition during the period from two weeks prior to taking the health exam to the day of your exam, you will not be able to take the exam. Additionally, please avoid visiting 3C settings (closed spaces with poor ventilation, crowded and close-contact settings), dining in large groups, or coming in contact with individuals who may be infected.
- Please register online on the University website prior to entering the campus.
- You must have the following with you when you take the exam. Please have them ready.
(1) Student ID
(2) Health Observation Checklist(Please print it out and bring it with you.)
(3) Mask
(4) Pencil/mechanical pencil and eraser
(5) T-shirt (with no buttons, metallic parts, prints)← For chest X-ray test

「Health Observation Checklist」 - At the exam site, please refrain from private conversations and maintain a social distance (a distance of 1 to 2 meters) to prevent infection.
- Chest X-ray tests are not performed on students who may be pregnant. If you might be, be sure to mention it at the reception.
- Your individual result form (in envelope) can be picked up after early December at the student affairs section of the college, etc. that you are affiliated with.
- The next health exam will be given next year (2021), but the timing is undecided. Based on the infection situation in the future, we will notify you once our decision is made.
- Requests
The general practice at the Health Service Center will be closed on the days health exams are given.
* The medical consultation and interview forms are used for the Health Exam and its summary. We strictly manage all personal information related to the Health Exam in order that it will not be disclosed to a third party.
* Please be aware that this information will also be used by Health Service Center staff and external medical facilities involved in this examination.
* The results may be anonymized to avoid personal identification, and reported in conferences and papers for use in future health care. Please inform us if you do not wish to have your results added to this study.
* According to the revisions to the Enforcement Regulations of the School Health Act, students are only required to have a chest X-ray test during their first year. However, for the early detection and prevention of infectious diseases and because the chest X-ray test results are required for the Health Examination Certificate, YNU will continue performing chest X-ray tests for all students.
