[Event Report] The Hult Prize OnCampus Final @ YNU
~YNU Hult Prize The winner is 「Dream Bridge」(Economics, 2nd year students)~
On Saturday, December 12, 2020, the Hult Prize OnCampus Final was held at Yokohama National University (YNU) online. This year’s theme was “Food for Good” and various business ideas were presented by students.
Our President Hasebe and Vice President Umehara gave inspirational opening addresses to the participating teams and the organizing committee. The judges of the contest were: Mr. Chris Krause (Director of Kyobashi Living Lab (Tokyo) and Future Food Institute in Japan), Mr. Makoto Oshima (Program Officer of SME support program of JICA Yokohama) and Mr. George Katagai (Founder and Owner Operator of Micro Farm Life Japan).
The winning team of the OnCampus Final at YNU is called “Dream Bridge” and members included Urara Yasuda(2nd year Economics, BA), Kozue Okamoto (2nd year, Economics, BA) , Yutaro Fukao (2nd year Economics, BA), and Masato Dozono (2nd year Economics, BA). As the representative of YNU, Dream Bridge will be competing at a Regional Summit, where finalists will be invited to participate in a six-week mentorship during the Accelerator Program, with a chance to compete at the annual UN Final hosted at United Nations, New York.

Due to the COVID-19 situations, this event was held online this year, however, it was wonderful to have a great number of audiences on the virtual floor. The organizers hope that this event was an opportunity for audiences to begin considering possible actions for change and contribute to achieve SDGs in their own way that they can.
