Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan paid a courtesy visit to YNU
On January 27, 2022, Mr. Sabr S. Yessimbekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan, and Aidos Darkenov, Second secretary of Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited YNU. The visitors were welcomed by President UMEHARA Izuru, Vice President for Global Affairs KABASHIMA Hiromi and International Office Manager NITTA Tomoki.
In the meeting, President UMEHARA stated welcome greetings while Ambassador Sabr Yessimbekov conveyed a sense of gratitude, explaining he was finally able to visit his alma mater as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan that he had been appointed last year after engaging in a wide range of duties. President UMEHARA also asked Ambassador Sabr Yessimbekov to give a special talk to YNU students in order to get them more interested in Kazakhstan. Ambassador Sabr Yessimbekov felt proud of being alumnus of YNU and said he would send talented students to YNU from Kazakhstan. In addition, Ambassador Sabr Yessimbekov mentioned the possibility of academic exchange between YNU and universities in Kazakhstan. President UMEHARA and Vice President KABASHIMA showed a positive attitude toward the academic exchange, hoping researchers will explore a partnership opportunity in the specific field that will bring further student exchange.
We expect to increase interchanges between Kazakhstan and YNU in the future.
