Continuation of Stage 1.5 of the "YNU Action Plans to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Ver. 3.2)" in the spring semester of AY 2023
On January 27, 2023, the Japanese government announced its policy to change the categorization of COVID-19 under the Infectious Diseases Control Law from new-type influenza, etc. infectious diseases to Class 5 category on May 8, 2023.
In addition, the Japanese government revised “Basic Policies for Novel Coronavirus Disease Control” on February 10, 2023, stating that "the wearing of masks indoors should be left to individual judgment" and that it would be applied to schools from April 1, 2023.
Despite the above changes in measures against new coronavirus infection, Yokohama National University will continue to take measures under Stage 1.5 of the "YNU Action Plans to Prevent the Spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Ver. 3.2) " for the time being after April 1, so that students from all over Japan can start classes and their new lives in the new academic year with more safety and peace of mind. We ask for your cooperation in taking basic infection prevention measures such as wearing masks.
Any changes to the above measures will be announced on the website of YNU.
