About On-Campus Vaccination against COVID-19(Update on August 30)
We at Yokohama National University (YNU) are going to conduct on-campus vaccination against COVID-19 (the government’s on-campus COVID-19 vaccination initiative), thanks to Yokohama City University which will kindly send us a medical assistance team consisting of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other staff for a long term period. We sincerely appreciate the cordial assistance of Yokohama City University and its affiliated hospital.

1.About COVID-19 vaccination
- The on-campus vaccination is not compulsory or mandatory and will be given only with the consent of the person to be vaccinated after the information is provided. There is no penalty for those who opt out of vaccination. In addition, it does not prohibit you from receiving the vaccine at another site set by local governments, medical institutions, etc.
- Vaccine available: Moderna
- If you decide to apply, you must receive both doses on campus (at a four-week interval).
- Vaccination is free of charge.
- Travel cost to the vaccination site is to be paid at your own expense (please use public transportation as much as possible).
- Please read and understand the advantages and side effects of COVID-19 vaccines before deciding to receive the vaccine.
2.Eligible persons
Those who correspond to any of the following and wish to receive COVID-19 vaccination at YNU are eligible for application. (Persons 18 and over are eligible.)
【Prioritized】
①YNU students (both degree and non-degree students are eligible.
②YNU faculty and staff (full-time, part-time, and temporary)
③Members of YNU-affiliated schools
④Contractors, security guards, cleaners and others who regularly work on the campus.
⑤Students, teachers, and administrative staff of local schools
【Non-Prioritized】
⑥Neighborhood residents and families of YNU students, faculty and staff
(*available only when there are surplus vaccines after those prioritized make reservations.)
3.Vaccination Days
1st dose period
September 1 (Wed) - 3 (Fri),September 5 (Sun) - 8 (Wed),September 13 (Mon) - 15(Wed)
2nd dose period
September 29 (Wed) - October 1 (Fri),October 3 (Sun) - 6 (Wed),October 11 (Mon) - 13 (Wed)
Time
10:00 am to 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
*The date and time of your second vaccination appointment will be four weeks (28 days) after your first vaccination at the same time.
** To ensure that no vaccines go to waste, choose a date and time to be surely able to receive the vaccine unless you are sick or encounter unexpected matters.
***Please keep in mind that this schedule is subject to change.
4.How to make an appointment
*You will need your vaccination coupon when making your appointment.
Coupons should have been sent to the address on your Resident Record.
**Make sure to bring your vaccination coupon, completed pre-vaccination questionnaire and your ID card
(student ID cards or residence cards ) when visiting the vaccination site.
